Friday, July 15th, 2005 07:28
MudWalker 0.3.2 is now available.
MudWalker is an open source mud client for Mac OS X.
(Which I have been not working on for far too long.)
Changes:
- The “Check Spelling As You Type” option for the input panel is saved on quitting.
- The Lua plugin should not fail to load under Mac OS X 10.2.
- Some memory leaks that would occur per line received have been fixed.
- The
speak()function is listed in scripting help.

Date: 2005-07-28 21:33 (UTC)I have a mac, and play a great mud, and downloaded mudwalker. It is most excellent so far, and doing wonderful, but I have a few questions that I haven't been able to find on any websites or references or help files.
I want to set triggers from the command line- what's the command for that? I am vaguely familiar with zMUD (it's been a while :-P) and for instance, mid-game, you could type
#trigger "You must be standing" {stand}
and it would make a trigger. Are there ways to create scripts mid-game like this? In the java console version, setalias is an alias for setting aliases :-) if there is even something like that it'd be useful. I have a lot of info to enter and it's hard to use the +, - buttons with all the c/p, but if I could work the command line, or the master scripting window, that would be great.
Thanks,
a pleased client
a fellow cs student :-)
